If you're feeling a little cramped opening up your loft could be the answer.

It could give you an extra bedroom, or office and an extra bathroom which always comes in handy.

You could have a dormer window, small balcony or Velux Cabrio windows seen opposite which open right up.

Also with the new planning laws planning permission may not be needed. Check with your local council first.
